Waiting For Adventure To Call My Name

 Let's run away

Take a trip anywhere 

It doesn't have to be far

Just get me away from here

At a breaking point

Far from any sense

Of a safe return 

Looking for adventure 

I'll go anywhere

If we could just

Run away

Facing the reality

That expectation 

Is a figment of

My imagination 

But my impression 

Will never change

A delusional outcome

Is the house I made

I'll dig my grave

And bury it all the same

I wanna jump in a car 

Going anywhere

Stare down the road

Acting like I don't care

I'm just looking to disappear 

Find adventure 

And hope it's pure

I wanna jump in car

And run away from here

Show me what this life could be

Teach me the ways of happiness 

It's always felt like a dream

A beautiful disaster 

Barley keeping us alive

Just staying in one place

Feels like a sin against 

Everything we're meant to be 

And if it breaks down

I'll keep my feet

On the ground

Slowly spinning

Till I find my way back home
